The Antiquarian Horologist

Overview

On a school assignment from James Estrin to shoot environmental portraits, I found an antiquarian horologist on Google Maps and knocked on his door. This man is completely technology averse, doing his business purely with a landline and paper and the postal system. He had no idea he was on Google Maps (with 5-star reviews, by the way). He even had to leave in an hour, for a weekend house call in Brighton Beach. Could I take portraits before then without disrupting his work? I could. And could I send him the images after, printed and mailed, because he had no email? I will. Here’s what I was thinking of sending.
